An acronym for “The Most Mysterious Song On The Internet”.
TMMSOTI, or TMS, is one of the names given to a song thought to be from the 80’s, whose artist is unknown.
The song was recorded off of the German radio station “NDR” onto a cassette tape, by a young German boy.
Due to him leaving out the DJ/announcer, when he labeled the tape, there was a song that he came across that he didn’t know the name or artist of.
Decades later, the internet would discover the song, and the previous attempts on old forums to identify it, and the song went viral.
A massive search was conducted for the song’s name and its artist, primarily by Reddit users.
As of March 2024, the search is still ongoing, but the song has still not yet been identified.
“Have you heard the news about TMMSOTI? They found an another copy of the song!”
