Used in Chatham, Kent, England to describe really thin men that do not eat in order to keep the male model look. Derives from Sprouty a man who was an anorexic footballer in the area some years ago and played for the famous Bly Spartans.

if a very very skinny man walks into a bar he may be refered to in the following context. " look at the prouty he looks like he needs a good meal"
