A retort against someone who takes a fun conversation way too seriously, to the point their very presence is a buzzkill.

Normal guy: I expected nothing and I still feel let down, lol. Couldn't have been any worse, right?!

Buzzkill: That you were let down means you had some expectations. It's impossible otherwise.

Normal guy: I bet you're fun at parties.
