F'er

An abbreviation of follower. Plural = f'ers. Looks funny because people tend to read it as 'fucker'. Used a fair bit on Tumblr.

Books

Portable sanctuaries.

Books can provide such wonderful escapes. They are like your own little sanctuary and you have a wide choice to lose yourself in. :)

Okeky-dokeky

A twist on the good ol' "okey-dokey". Has the same jovial tone as okey-doke and okey-dokey but can also be used in a resigned or exasperated tone. Whatever the tone of voice (or text) the meaning is the same - it means OK.

May also be spelt: okecky-dokecky.

Mel: So I was thinking that instead of blue paint for the window trim we use yellow...
Kel: No, no - it has be blue. The clients specified blue!
Mel: Well maybe we should ask the -
Kel: NO. They've already said their decision is final.
Mel: (does a half-shrug) Okeky-dokeky.

Penthusiast

A word to describe those people that LOVE stationery. It is a portmanteau of 'pen' and 'enthusiast'. It is a pretty self-explanatory term: an enthusiast is person who is highly interested in a particular activity or subject and in the case of a penthusiast the subject is pens. And all their 'cousins'. (i.e. highlighters, erasers, hole-punchers, etc.)
Such people would move into an Officeworks store in the blink of an eye if given the chance.

Abby: So what are you getting Ursula for her birthday?
Mavis: I got Ursula this massive box of Crayola Crayons and some Derwent charcoal pencils.
Abby: ... Will she like those?
Mavis: Oh yeah! She's a total penthusiast. She could live in Officeworks! If you want her to fall in love with you forget sending chocolates and roses, send her post-its and blu-tac.

Baklava Hole

A synonym for mouth. Often used by non-Middle Eastern muslims towards Middle-Eastern peoples (usually of any religion) when telling them to be quiet. It is not supposed to be rude. It is a cute and friendly way of telling your friend to hush up in a mock-exasperated tone. It is like "cake hole" or "pie hole", it just employs a food reference to Middle Eastern culture.

Fatima the Lebanese Girl: Yallah, Pria! I need the scissors for this cut-and-paste activity. You've been using them the whole lesson I need them now.
Pria the Bangladeshi Girl: Shut your baklava hole, babe. Here take them.

Potato Gems

The Australian name for the famous American Tater Tots. They are also known as Potato Royals.

Kristie: You don't have Tater Tots in Australia? Seriously? I couldn't live without them.
Stacey: We do have Tater Tots in Australia but we call them Potato Gems.
