Plot hole

In a piece of fiction, a Plot Hole is a completely implausible occurrence or series of events that contradicts logic or previously established events in the story. Includes things such as unlikely behaviour or actions of characters, illogical or impossible events, events happening for no apparent reason, or statements/events that contradict earlier events in the storyline.

A Plot Hole is NOT a simple omission of information or unanswered question. These can only be considered a Plot Hole if said omission has no plausible explanation AND is essential information to the overall story's outcome.

Plot Hole: Something that goes against logic or the previous events in the fiction.
Not a Plot Hole: A small unexplained event in the story.

ACTUAL Plot Hole: In Batman Begins a microwave emitter is used to vaporize the water in Gotham to release a psychedelic drug that the water has been laced with. However, the microwaves would in all actuality caused all of the water molecules in every human body to boil and kill everyone very painfully. But this does not happen in the movie.

NOT a Plot Hole: In The Dark Knight Rises, not explaining how Bruce Wayne manages to get back onto the Island of Gotham after it has been cut off from the rest of the world.

freedom fighters

one of the greatest games of all time. takes place in an alternate future in which America never developed the A-Bomb. Russia (Soviet Union) makes the 1st one, then bombs Berlin with it to end WWII, and then begins to take over and spread its control over many countries. Then in 2003 after controlling all of Europe and most of the rest of the world, the Soviets invade and take over the US. You quickly take up arms and lead squads of freedom fighters to fend off the evil soviet invaders.

even better on console due to the sick ass multiplayer mode.

Freedom Fighters is the most under rated and forgotten game of all time.

electoral college

An idea put in place to prevent one city, region, or demography from deciding who the next president is. The main goal is to force a presidential candidate to have to win over voters all across the country. Although it doesnt always work, it often times prevents what happens in New York state, from happening on a larger scale. Even though New York state is relatively half and half on the political spectrum, every election New York state ends up being won for the democrats because New York City is about 70% liberal and contains about half of the state's population.

Without the Electoral college, what happens almost every election in New York state could happen to the whole country, where the interests of one region determine the effects on the whole country

red faction

Great game. takes place in the future. can blow up pretty much anything.

Red Faction Intro:
Mars... I always thought of it as a romantic place, a planet of mystery and adventure.
I came here 6 months ago thinking it would be an escape from earth.
I wanted some time to think, to figure out what to do with my life.
A year in the Ultor mines seemed like a great way to straiten myself out... man was I a fool.

Life in the mines is hell. I haven't had a minute to myself since I got here.
YouҀ™re jammed 8 to a room; time sharing your bunks... conditions are barley livable.
And the guards are everywhere. Ultor doesn't care if we live or die.
WeҀ™re at the breaking point.

And then there's the plague killing off miners left and right.
When the man next to you dies before your eyes and your turn can come any minute.... it freaks you out.
No one knows where it came from or how to cure it.... or at least the miners donҀ™t know.

Someone named EOS is putting up pamphlets in the barracks, claiming that Ultors' responsible for the plague.
The pamphlets urge minors to be ready for a revolt against Ultor.
A lot of miners are muttering, but nothing's come of it yet.

As bad as things are in the barracks, they're brutal down in the mines.
You spend 10 hours drenched in your own sweat in the envirosuit, grinding away at rock walls.
The guards make sure you work the whole shift... they enjoy their work way too much.
You get out of the driller after your shift is over and all you've done is dig yourself in a little deeper...
I don't know how long I can keep doing this...
