Falls short of amazing. Someone who is "amaze" is confused about what to do, which direction to go, hence, a maze.
Get busy, put some "zing" in your step, you must figure out the maze to become amazing!

Wow, Buddy is amaze. I'm befuddled by his lack of sense and direction. If he figures out his place in the world that would be amazing!

My daughter spoils the Christmas surprise every year. She suffers from surphobia.

The name of an astonishingly stupid person who seemingly became that way by means of being hit in the head with stones or rocks

Aston is so stupid. Its not as if he suffers from any sort of congenital defect. Maybe he got hit in the head by a stone. It's amaze that he can find his way out of a wet paper sack
