surphobia

An unreasonable fear of the unknown (i.e., surprise). Manifests as compulsions to circumvent due process in the pursuit of spoilers. Note: such spoilers do not reduce net enjoyment. Instead, they increase it.

My daughter spoils the Christmas surprise every year. She suffers from surphobia.
