To look disheveled, hip, on fleek, sophisticated, messy, current.. any and all of these things but when comparing to olden days, it’s different than then so it’s a negative.

Girl is wearing jeans and a T-shirt with a messy bun. Guy says to her, ‘50 years ago people would look at you and think what? Was she thrown out of a car?’
