Pull a Ditka

1. Term used during the NFL draft and Fantasy draft. Giving up every draft pick for one first-rounder, like Mike Ditka did in the 1999 NFL draft when he gave up all his picks for Ricky Williams.

2. Putting all your eggs in one basket.

1. I so want Reggie Bush on my team, I am going to pull a Ditka and give up my first five fantasy picks to get him.

2. She wants to compete in American Idol so bad, she is going to pull a Ditka and sell everything she owns for voice lessons and a trip to Austin just to audition.

Legitimate Win

When the winning team's score is equally divisible by the amount of periods of play in the game.

1: The Leafs lost last night!
2: Ya, but the score was 4-3, so we actually won. The Bruins' didn't get the legitimate win.
