Before Google Maps, we used printed maps and the largest brand name in the UK was A-Z.
This was a series of street maps of most British towns and cities; properly the Geographer's A–Z Street Atlas.
Colloquially all road maps were known as A to Z.

I always keep an A to Z in the car.
