one foot in the grave

Description of a person who is elderly or very ill and presumably near death. Not particularly respectful, but usually used comically.

Also used with the addition of "one foot in the grave and the other one on a banana peel."

Petie's cat was 18 years old, and while he didn't want to admit it, Petie realized that Tabby had one foot in the grave and the other one on a banana peel.

n. When a person is depressed but can't quite determine why, he/she has "the matters." from "What's a matter?"

frug

n. pronounced froog. from the adjective frugal. (1) A person who is extremely tight-fisted with money. Considered cheap, miserly, penny-pinching, selfish. Always has a negative connotation - thrifty would not be a synonym.

n. (2) a popular dance from the 60s

Loretta's boyfriend never wants to pay for anything if and when they go out; he's such a frug.

Grace's parents always embarrassed her at family functions by dancing the frug like they did back in the day.

v. vomiting outside, especially on a sidewalk.

Sue drank 14 cups of trashcan punch at the party, and on the way to the car she was barking at ants for ten minutes.
