One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest: Ken Kesey’s 1962 novel featuring the schizophrenic narrator Chief Bromden who hazily recalls new patient Randall McMurphy’s misogynistic battle against head of the ward, Nurse Ratched. The movie featuring Jack Nicholson was released in 1975 but sadly leaves out The genius narration of Chief. Rumor has it that Kesey tripped on LSD while writing portions of the novel as he saw it as a way to understand the mind of a schizophrenic.

A term for people who don’t run every day and can’t admit slow running is okay as long as one can still run a sub 5 minute mile

Hey Tim, I just read in Runner’s World that a shakeout run is better than a day off. Although I am ashamed to admit I read Runner’s World and wear compression socks. Next thing I know I’ll be on Strava!
