Take a Cruz

Verb, activity: taking leave of a situation that one has no actionable control or authority over in order to avoid the hardship of the situation.

Derivation: taken from the name of Texas' Senator Ted Cruz, who made headlines by taking an impromptu trip to Mexico instead of sticking out the nationwide blizzard of February '21, which affected every state except Hawaii and Florida. Florida maintains that Florida Man held off the storm with an icy glare that cancelled out the warm front that might've otherwise collided with the storm, and hurled it southward.

It is a big warehouse, but there's a whole lot of code violations that I don't feel like taking on. I think I'm gonna take a Cruz on that offer.

Cersei Slide

The act of surreptitiously sidling past two combatants as they are about to engage in mortal combat, knowing full well that at least one of them has reasonable cause to cut you.

James caught his wife cheating with his best friend, but that bitch did the Cersei Slide while they were both distracted.

Cuomo

Adjective, personal: possessing an overbearing and thuggish demeanor, as well as generally making catastrophically bad decisions.

Derivation: taken from the name of New York's Governor Anthony Cuomo, who caused the deaths of tens of thousands of New Yorkers with "emergency actions" which compromised the most vulnerable population in the state, then threatened constituents into hiding the true death toll, and its cause.

You got a nice setup here, but your boss is a bit Cuomo. I think I'm gonna take a Cruz.
