OMG is a common internet expression with several variations such as OML (oh my Lord).
OMG is an abbreviation of the phrase, âoh my godâ, commonly used when someone is surprised at something. It can also be used as an expression of annoyance.
Generally, itâs used on the internet, but itâs not unheard of for some people to say âoh-em-geeâ in real life.
OMG as an expression of annoyance:
Anna: Do you wanna build a snowman?
Elsa: No.
Anna: Are you sureeeee?
Elsa: Iâm sure!
Anna: Are you sure, sure-
Elsa: OMG, shut up, Anna!
OMG as an expression of surprise:
Hannah: Did you see what Tay did today?!
Layla: Ummm... no.
Hannah: She slapped Jay.
Layla: OMG, what a savage!

Thicc is slang for the word thick. People use the word thick to describe objects, textures, and sometimes peopleâs intelligence. However, âthiccâ is generally used to describe objects, textures and peopleâs appearance rather than intelligence.
When pronounced, they sound the same, so you can only really tell when people use âthiccâ when they type it.
Reyna: This slime is sooo thicc...
Jade: I know, right!
Astrid: I want to be skinny.
Hannah: Yah, me too.
Astrid: What about you, Mimi?
Mimi: I wanna be thicc. I wanna have thicc legs, a thicc body.
WTF is an internet abbreviation of âwhat the fuckâ. Itâs commonly used on social media, texting and generally, the internet.

Hacker B: What? Why?
Hacker A: I got into them.

Hacker A: Seriously? All Iâm gonna say is, Iâm glad I learnt SQL and Python.

XD is an emoticon, much like :) which is a smiley face, and :0 which is a shocked face. Itâs often used on the internet, although some people literally say Ex-Dee, but those people are few and far between.
It can be used as a replacement for LOL, which means âlaugh out loudâ. Basically, XD is a laughing face.
Beware! A lot of people get annoyed if you use XD too much.
Anna: Heyy
Bella: Hiiii
Anna: Hey, did you hear about what happened to Bob today?
Bella: No, what?!
Anna: He slipped on a banana peel.
