Bawlahmur

“Bawlahmur” is the pronunciation the native people of Baltimore pronounce “Baltimore”. This pronunciation is used by the British, blacks, whites, Asians, Hispanics, Arabs, literally almost anyone who was raised in the ghetto, or poor, or dangerous, or atrocious, or not da rich life in Baltimore pronounce it this way. Usually the rich kids from areas like Federal Hill, Roland Park, dem big ass apartments/condos in inner harbor also force an accent on it to sound like they got the native stereotypical Baltimorean accent.

Ex 1:

(Setting: Starbucks at Harford County Maryland)
(They inna middle of a conversation)
Kyle(From Fallston HS): Oh so Connor where you from?
Connor(From Loyola HS): I’m from (forces the accent) Bawlahmur.

Kyle: Oh my god! It must be hard for you there.
Connor: (Thinks bout his suburbs Spanish style house, neurosurgeon dad, real estate mom, Tesla car for his 16th birthday) yeah it has been hard but I got a lacrosse scholarship to Loyala though. (Dads Money)

Kyle: Dang thats so inspirational.

Ex 2:
(Setting: Starbucks at Howard County Maryland)
(They inna conversation)

Tavon(From Howard HS):(his proper self) So where are you from Latavius?
Latavius(From Mervo HS): I’m from Bawlahmur.
Tavon: Excuse me?
Latavius: Bawlahmur.
Tavon: Where is that at?
Latavius: BALL-TEA-MORE dummy
Tavon: I’m from Howard and my daddy and mommy have given me everything(his blackness comes out) unlike your broke ass.
Latavius: boy (pop pop pop) goofy ass.
