1. To assume something, and present it as fact.
2. To take an asinine comment, presumption or drunken declaration and automatically present it as fact.

Ex. Someone says that Lincoln may have been a Jedi ---becomes---Lincoln was a Jedi.

In converstion: "I'm gonna go ahead and Wells It and say Lincoln Was a Jedi."
