A term used by surfers and body boarders for the action that occurs when a shore-break wave lifts you up and plants you into the sand near shore, usually in a few inches of water.

Surfer 1: "How did Jake break his neck?"
Surfer 2: "He was clam diggin at the Wedge...:

Name commonly given by drunk sushi chefs to salted soy beans provided as an appetizer at a sushi bars.
