Niccup

Not a hiccup. Usually confused as hiccups by those who don't have them. Hiccups come from the diaphragm, niccups come from higher up in the chest. An easy way to differentiate them is that you can get one niccup a day, or even a week, whereas hiccups come in waves. Additionally, hiccups are more annoying to have than niccups.

Some people get niccups after eating, others get them at other times as well. Sometimes a niccup can be connected to a burp directly after as well.
