Not to be confused with equal, an equel isn't like a sequel or prequel but rather is In-between them.

This is commonly used for the original.

An example would be the StarWars original trilogy, they would be the equels as they were made first while the ones after it is the sequels, and the ones before are the prequels

guy 1: Hey you want to watch the starwars equel trilogy for the 503th time?
guy 2: aren't those just the originals?
guy 1: Yup!

guy 2: Sure! Lets go rewatch the equel trilogy for the 503th time!

this is because k and j are right next to each other on the keyboard. This really only happens if the person is typing on a keyboard as there is no autocorrect for a keyboard.

You can still typically tell if the person is saying "like" through the context of the words around it.
