anti-friend zone

A category into which people (usually romantic interests) who you feel strongly for to the extent that sharing a friendship would not be satisfactory to you are placed.

"What are you gonna do? She say's she just wants to be friends."
"Nah man, she's in the anti-friend zone. It would just be too awkward."
