Beyonce:Oh hey Björk itâs so nice to see you!
Björk:I have riddle: what passes through trees without making rustle of the leaf. Iâm
Medulla onblogata or alternatively, Medúlla for short, is a part of the brain, found in the brain stem. It controls basic functions such as breathing and heart control.
It is most known in modern culture as the name of the 2004 all A Capella album by Icelandic singer Björk. The name was chosen as the album meant to go back to ancient music, and it be about what âmakes us humanâ. This was in response to the racism in the aftermath of the twin towers disasters in 2001.
Medulla is often considered Björkâs weirdest album.
The political compass is a political defining square, with four quadrants, with a questionnaire to identify you. As the political spectrum was quite unreflective of a lot of factors, they added a y/social axis to the current x/economic axis. A great example of why this is better than the plain old spectrum is Franceâs National front. It is often dubbed as âthe far right party of Franceâ, however, a lot of its economic policies are further left than the socialist party, so, it would give a lot more context to its beliefs. Authoritarianism tends to believe in government control, while libertarianism tends to believe in less government. Economic left tends to believe in spending more money and being open to progression, while conservatism tends to believe in cutting spending, and taking a cautious approach to progression. This has resulted in left wingers believing in equality and conservatism believing in hierarchy.
Where are you on the political compass?
Being one with society, synonym for homogenous. Also coined by Icelandic singer Björk as meaning âone flavourâ
Also, the name of Björkâs critically acclaimed album from 1997. It was titled as such to portray the cohesive sound of the album, compared to her previous effort, Post (1995) which had many different sounds and styles.
âYou know itâs one flavour, itâs me, here right now, and itâs just: beats. Strings. And voiceâ
âBjörk in an interview about Homogenic in 1996
A word meaning paradise. Also the name of two mainline albums, one by Travis Scott (2023) and Björk (2017).
Which is better, Utopia or UTOPIA?
Itâs a term used by people who are authoritarian on the political compass as an insult to people who are libertarian on the compass. Even though it can be used by all authoritarians, you tend to hear it more from authrights rather than authlefts, and tends to be aimed more at liblefts rather than librights.
Authright: Where are you on the olâ compass?
Libleft: Iâm libleft
Authright: Libtard!

A term used by some conservative extremists to refer to all facts that disprove their opinions.
Extreme conservative: letâs debate
