Abbyism

a figure of speech in which the user fails to use the correct word, instead using a similar sounding word.

1) "That's as useful as tits on a board!" (...boar)
2) "Do you mean boar?"
1) "Yeah, tits on a board. Never heard that?"
2) "Lol, do you mean BOAR? Solid Abbyism dude!"

"Pass me one of those Cooler Lights." (...Coors)
"She has cat-like reflections!" (...reflexes)
"Don't keep in in expense!" (...suspense)

Abbyism

a figure of speech in which the user unknowingly and confidently uses the wrong word in a sentence or other common phrase

1) "It's okay if you don't like IPA's. Some are a required taste."
2) "Do you mean 'acquired taste'?"
1) "Yeah...required taste."
2) "...dude that's an Abbyism. Lol"
