Definition:
Maskquerading the practice of keeping up appearances but only providing lip service to social distancing guidelines that curb the spread of Covid-19. Typically performed by Millennials and older image conscious liberals (see Tesla drivers). Excludes those who actually care. Also, generally excludes Gen Z, Republicans, and #MAGA Supporters who donât even try to keep up appearances âcause they donât give a fuck.
Usage:
Paul: Damn, EB. That face mask is ð¥! Didnât realize you were concerned about COVID. Is it N95? Noticed you drinking White Claw through it

Definition:
A Maskquerade Ball is any social event regardless of sophistication in which participants gather, wear protective masks, and at least provide lip service to following social distancing guidelines to stop the spread of Covid-19. Costumes, decadence, and/or haughty self-absorbed party guests may be present but not required unlike Masquerade Balls.
Usage:
Chad: Damn, Gina is looking ð¥ tonight at the maskquerade ball with that N95 covering her hairy upper lip. I wish I could hit that but... you know... Covid.
