1. A greeting or goodbye from an A-hole or major jerk
2. A greeting or goodbye from a really crappy city like Philadelphia or Detroit

Example:
Alec Baldwin was just here, he says "Ahola". Great if you run into him again tell I said "Ahola" as well.
To the city of Philadelphia ...I say "Ahola"!
