Named after hit filmmaker Judd Apatow who confessed to Jon Stewart that he had pleasured himself while watching Stewart's interview with Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol.

Friend 1: Did you watch Conan last night?

Friend 2: Yeah, but I Apatowed his monologue so I wasn't really paying attention.
