A family, or group of people, living in squalor and is content with their decisions that have led them to what may seem to be an unfortunate situation, but it is actually one that they are perfectly content with.
I've been to their place, it's amazing how gross it is, yet how happy they are; they're a garbage family.
a "family" (including pets) that live in a shithole and rarely if ever have company over because its "their mess." Although they are still more than happy and content with their situation because they are a collective garbage people.
I love our garbage family.
