twistability

using wire instead of a zip tie or cable tie where strength is needed.

I'm going to use fencing wire to tie the mudguard on the Holey Goat, It's twistability makes it more suitable than a zip tie in this application. the more you twist it, the tighter it gets (just before it snaps)

crapyard

a back yard filled with crap. broken down cars or other unfinished projects, usually has grass knee high with lost wheels and other hidden junk to trip you on.

where's your mower mate? it's lost in the Crapyard somewhere.. it ran out of fuel half way in and by the time i got around to getting more fuel i couldn't find it again. i looked under the 3 cars and empty drums but only found 2 snakes and a wombat.

Junkaneering

someone who makes things out of junk

mate, that bike you built out of a pile of garbage is an excellent example of Junkaneering. its so good you could use it every day if it wasn't so crappy looking.

gabbed

an item of value left in the weather, especially in the rain that ends up ruined by the time it's needed or wanted.
(coined after countless times Gab has done this. so it's named after Gab)

Hey, have you still got that awesome stereo you took out of your car you offered Me?
yeah it's over there on that pile..

oh, that's definitely GABBED. May as well put it in the bin now

unfinished project

usually a car that was pulled apart to restore, all good intentions without either the skill, motivation, money or time to finish.

usually bought in reasonable condition and then sold as a parts lot with no chance of being finished.

Hey Bob, i'm buying an unfinished project.. it was your old daily driver.. now in 1000 pieces and totally stuffed.

Bob replies, that kid said he was going to restore it, then i heard he cut the floor for air bags and an LS conversion

drillium

add lightness by drilling lots of holes in a part usually on a bike or car. (weight reduction)

with all that drillium, I'm surprised it's not blowing away in the wind.

lightning whirler

otherwise known as a Distributor on a car engine, makes the spark go to the sparkolators.

Derek from Vice Grip Garage has alternative names for various tools and parts, and they make more sense than the correct name

i'll need to take the cap off the lightning whirler to clean the points. rats have chewed a few of the lightning hoses also.
