The term is often used incorrectly (especially by Google Maps and people) to describe your usual small convenience store which does sell beer and wine along with imitation spirits. A liquor store must sell spirits AKA liquor in order to be called a liquor store. Liquor stores often do not sell chips, cigarettes, lottery tickets, or anything that is also found in grocery stores.
Why are people calling convenience stores liquor stores? None of those places sell real liquor like whiskey.
A brand of soap which I'm honestly surprised no one in this definition seems to be mentioning.
Personally, Irish Spring is best in bar form.

What people don't tell you about gin is that it's a powerful diuretic that will make you pee frequently sooner. So, it is advised you drink it where there are bathrooms close by.
I love the taste of gin but, I hate the powerful effects it has on my bladder.
Stands for roll your own. Can refer to cigarettes you roll for yourselves. Get some loose tobacco and rolling paper with some filters and you got yourself a basic RYO cigarette.
