Karen

An ethnic group in Burma (Myanmar). They reside primarily in Kayin State, southern and southeastern Myanmar. The Karen, approximately five million people, account for approximately seven percent of the Burmese population.

Thousands of Karen from Myanmar fled military airstrikes last month.
