In Suzanne Collins's 'The Hunger Games', Panem, formerly known as North America, is a country split into 14 districts. Districts 1-13, and the Capitol.
The Capitol rules Panem.
District 13 was apparently destroyed in the first rebellion against the Capitol.
This left only 12 disticts under the Capitol.
Panem comes from "Panem et circenses" which means "bread and entertainment", this is a metaphor of political creation of public approval.
In 'the Hunger Games', Panem is the country ruled by the terribly corrupt Capitol. It is where the Games take place.

A place (usually part of school playground, car park, recreational field etc.) made for people to use, but is overrun by pigeons that people usually avoid having anything to do with it.
Evie: I want to get home quickly, shall we go through the car park?

Nickname for 'Rodoshi', but isn't used by anyone else but themself.
Rodoshi: I'm going to be really cool by writing my nick-name instead of my real name.
Person: I thought people called you Nooberitus...
Rodoshi: No, it's Dosh Dosh. I'm the only one who uses it though.
Person: Oh. Well, see you later, Nooberitus.
Very fortunate and lucky, she's a fairly pretty girl who is given a lot of attention and grew up in a rich family. Nice to be with at first. Although she thinks she's better than everyone else because of her wealth and fortune. She is quite an attention seeker, and constantly loses friends. She is dogamatic and KNOWS she's right. She will never admit her mistakes, as though it will ruin her reputation.
Ros: Phillipe Massa is Spanish!
Person: No... he isn't
Ros: Trust me, I know my F1 drivers!
Person: Er... I don't think so, he's Brazilian...
Ros: Well, I'm right because he drives Spanish cars, Ferrarris!
Person (now LOLing): No... Ferrarris are Italian...
Ros: Well, I'm right because you have no proof!
Person (as pulling out phone and turning on the internet): See, I googled it. Every page say that they're Italian.
Ros: Well your Google is wrong! Trust me, I know my google!
