soccer mum

A nasty mother who follows the suburban trend of being a bore, and a gossip with slightly below average IQ who wears clothing that lacks imagination. She could aid her children in their pursuit of the finer things in life such as art, music, literature and science, philosophy and gastronomy; sadly, she is ignorant of such things. In fact she has a high opinion of herself: she thinks she is a queen and is proud of her suburban attributes and accolades.

John: I saw that gossip-monger neighbour, Suzanne pulling into the Maccas drive-thru again.
Sarah: Oh yes, typical soccer mum doesn't know any better than to feed her kidsjunk and pop music.

triss

Verb: to triss, trissing, trissed
to triss about, a trisser

To overdo your grooming, especially with make-up and hair
To primp and preen like a princess to the extent of fussiness... and to the point of making everyone wait for them.
Most people triss on their wedding day, fair enough, but a trisser will do this every time they go partying.

Obsessive grooming: too much make-up, too much hair spray, just too perfect.

Partyboy: We're gonna be late, where's that Glissandra? (drag queen)
Hairy Jeff: She's still trissing about in the bathroom.

emon

a used car that soon enough turns out to be a money pit.
a second hand vehicle that does not live up to your expectations, or that of consumer regulations.
a car that turns out to be a pos, always breaking down and costing much more money that its actual worth.
a dodgy car, bought from a car yard or Craig's List or Gumtree that is unreliable and continually being repaired.
-a rip off, scam dealing
caveat emptor: buyer beware

Decaprio: "Get the Prius ready to drive me to the Oscars in 20 mins."
Houseboy: "Ahh, Leo that pos you bought from Craig's List is nothing but a lemon, I took it to the mechanic's again yesterday, so you'll have to take a taxi."

I'm game

I am game!
Means emphatically a 'yes'.
When you are up for something (to do). When you want to be included into the said activity.

Harry says, "Are you up for a game of golf tomorrow, John?"
John replies, "I'm game!"

to bags

To reserve a seat (usually for your friend who will be arriving shortly) by placing your bag or jacket on it.
Verb: to bags
past tense: bagsed

Predominantly used by school children, especially on school bus, to stake a claim on the seat beside them for the friend who will board at the next stop.

Seated at the crowded coffee house, I placed my carrier bag on the chair opposite me.

Presently, a polite young man came up placed his hand on the vacant chair and said, "Excuse me, are you using this chair?"

To which I responded, "Sorry, mate, I've bagsed it for my girlfriend."
"No worries!" he replied.
Or at a dormitory... "I bags the bottom bunk by the door!" In which case you immediately place your bag on your bunk to secure ownership.
Can be used to lay claim for anything on offer, if there is a queue, or lack of provisions or something of limited supply, where there is rivalry. (whereby you, or your absent friend may miss out, if you fail to bags it for them).
