amberic

Amberic, another name for harsh electric light. Often compared to LED light, or raw thunder strikes, amberic light is white or pale blue in appearance, and offers no "warmth" unlike incandescent (or naptha) light.

The best known reference to "amberic" light can be found in philip pullman's "His Dark Materials".

The amberic light shed itself over the gravel walkway, its pale blue tint hindered by the wings of moths.
