The term originates from a video by the french YouTuber "Pierre Chabrier" , who used "mint crystal" to make himself cry.

A: "Did you see their response to the drama? They were crying so much, it seemed authentic."
B: "Let's wait for the other side to respond. I think it was mint crystal."
