Another way of saying "decision that will have a major impact on the course of my life."

Also used for comic effect to refer to minor day-to-day decisions.

Aaron: I just started doing methamphetamine.
Jonathan: That's a bad life choice.

Comic usage:

Bob: I just ate a half gallon of ice cream. That was a bad life choice.
