decoupling

The act of doing something major in your life with friends and family being unaware of it due to your lack of informing them. Often this is due to fear of what they may think, particularly if you fail at it.

'Sorry the job interview was a decoupling one. I didnt want to tell you I was looking for a new jonb unless I got the head of science post at Canesworth Academy!'

bucfotariat

The set of people who are hopelessly inept at a given task.

Derives from a misspelling of Burcot to Bucfot, a location containing a branch of a garden centre reporting low sales figures due to small size.

Also there is 'bucfotine' meaning highly inept ie. 'His attempts to woo the blonde at the nightclub were bucfotine at best.'

Lastly 'bucfot warrior' meaning someone who, although highly inept, tries their best eg. 'Bless the Bucfot Warrior scoring 69 over par at the golf tournament.'

And there are the bucfotariat. They go clubbing regularly hoping to pull. Even where pulling is easy, some havent scored in years!

Plymouthed Sun

A phenomenon common in coastal regions where a pattern of cloud building just inland with clear skies out to sea can divide a major city in two for hours, with one half in constant sunshine and one half in constant shade. First noticed in Plymouth.

Can also refer to fog related microclimates where the coast of, say LA may be under chilly thick fog but a few blocks inland basks in warm sunshine.

Lets walk down the coast a bit first. Its Plymouthed Sun around here!
