It was so successful that it was adopted by the Russian army, and exported to all of Russia's allies. It's most recognizable feature is its superb reliability, it will function in environments that other weapons would malfunction in. It fires 7.62 x 39mm ammunition(by comparison, an M16 fires 5.56 x 45mm).
This is the AK47 assault rifle. It is the preferred weapon of your enemy, and it makes a very distinct sound when fired at you.
