Wabo

WABO, Wabo, and wabo all mean Wannabe Aboriginal. Typically these are African Americans claiming to be the “original indigenous” or “aboriginal Indians” to turtle island. These people typically claim that natives killed off or erased their history and that natives are actually Siberian. This word can also be used to describe non-aboriginal people in Australia claiming to be aboriginal. A similar term would be Pretendian.

Pretendian

Any white person claiming to be Native American but has no ties to the culture or ethnic groups. Another term meaning the same thing would be 5$ Indian.

White Guy: My grandmother was an Aztec princess you can tell by my cheekbones and the stories she told me.

Any Sensible Person: You’re a pretendian.
