Assuming that because someone enjoys and gets excited at the prospect of seeing a person they care about is because they secretly have a crush on them is perpetuating amatonormativity.

Liberatory relating is concerned with performing relationships free from restrictions and normative standards imposed on us by societal expectations, in a way that is ethical, respects individual autonomy and mutually beneficial.
