butters moment

when something very stupid (like butter) happens that makes you think, "how can a real person be this retarded"? one who commits a "butters moment" usually has a feeling equivalent to going on a trip far away from home, and once you get there you realize you forgot something very important.

"that guy is acting like a sped kid"
"that's a butters moment right there"
