Karen shops at Whole Foods, drives a white SUV, sends her kids to an elite private pre-school, puts up a 'gather' sign during COVID-19, and is always speaking to the manager.

KAREN IS A STEREOTYPICAL UPPER-MIDDLE CLASS WHITE WOMAN. KAREN IS THE EPITOME OF WHITE PRIVILEGE AND USES HER POWER TO STEP ON OTHERS .

Karen is BFFs with Becky. Enough said.

Sometimes I feel like I'm not victimising myself enough for being an upper middle class white woman, but I can always rely on a local Karen to give me courage and inspiration to speak up against my oppressors!

My 7 year old daughter has been asking me some difficult questions like: "Why can't we make gluten-free bruschetta and have a penthouse soiree during COVID lockdown?" I've given up with explanations... now I just point at a local Karen and say "I can't risk turning into her".
