Hostels are known to offer way more adventure for your money. Unlike hotels, they provide shared social spaces (dorms, common-rooms and kitchens) where you will unexpectedly become best friends with other global adventure-seekers (usually whilst chatting about where they have been, or what they are eating.) Hostels regularly provide organised events and activities. The types of fun things that dull hotel patrons would most likely âtutâ at. These include happy hours and Beer Pong, an internationally recognised hostel sport, with games held every 10 minutes.
I went solo backpacking for a few months and stayed in hostels. I lost a few socks, but I gained 3267 new friends.
