2. An anthro or a human/ultra humanoid animal character. (Popular examples being Loona from HelluvaBoss, Lola Bunny, Beastars characters, etc.)

The furry fandom is a subculture focused around cartoon animals, anthropomorphic animals, and human-animal hybrids, commonly expressed through art, costumes, cosplay, roleplay, media, etc.

It’s a common misconception that being a furry is a sexual thing, but there does exist a large sexual part of the community. Yiff or furry porn is a popular porn category produced by the furry fandom, generally it’s harmless and completely unrelated to zoophilia as it focuses on furries/anthros.

Ignorant Individual: “Furries are zoophiles! They’re getting off to something that’s animal-based!”

Based Individual: “Not all furries are sexual, but even so, zoophilia refers to actual, non-human animals. By definition you’re wrong. And humans are based on apes? There’s nothing immoral or zoophilic about furry porn.”

The term is derived from the Japanese lolicom/lolicon which, itself, is derived from lolita complex - from Nabokov's novel "Lolita".

Weeb: “If loli hentai is pedophilia than furry porn is zoophilia!”

Furry: “I don’t think lolicons are literal pedophiles, but you can’t compare fictional little girls(do exist irl) to fictional anthropomorphs(don’t exist irl). Even if furries existed, by definition it wouldn’t be zoophilia to fuck a human(anthro) animal, the same can’t be said with little girls. It would be more accurate to compare Loli’s and Ferals(non-anthro cartoon animals). Find a different argument. Stop attacking furries for no reason.”
