broome county

A small rural county in upstate New York. Contains the city of Binghamton and the villages of Endicott and Johnson City, all three known as the Triple-Cities. The Susquehanna river runs through the Triple-Cities so they are easily flooded, because of the constant downpours. The village of Endicott has the remains of IBM, and it's infamous toxic plume. The outskirts of the Triple-Cities are of retired farmland. Broome County's newest neighborhoods were built in the 1980's before the decline of IBM. Most of it's people are either retired and don't like the college kids there, and the younger generations aren't of high intelligence. The only hope for Broome County is Binghamton University (SUNY), most of it's students are from downstate, and none of the students want to live and maintain a career there.

I'm sure glad I don't live in Broome County anymore.
