Stupid-ego

The 4th component of the psyche that is responsible for causing one to make poor decisions.

I meant to send my curse-filled email response to only one person but my stupid-ego made me hit "reply all."

hover-parent

A parent who hovers over their child at every step, especially on the playground, to prevent any possible bad event from occurring, specifically broken bone, interaction with less important child, fall from any height, etc.

My toddler wanted to play with the other kids at the playground but the hover-parents stood in the way.

syntopia

A future which is neither dystopic nor utopic, but rather is essentially identical to the present.

I expected his vision of the future to be populated with either killer robots or helper robots; instead he presents a syntopia with no robots to speak of.

Peegret

The moment that you start peeing in a stall and realize that there's no more toilet paper. See also "poogret."

I felt a pang of peegret when I realized that there was no more TP and it was too late to stop.

disastourist

a person who visits the site of a recent disaster to see the wreckage, carnage, remains, etc.

After hearing about the recent I35W bridge collapse, we decided to be disastourists and get as close as we could to see the remnants of the bridge.
