shortened nickname for a carbunkle - a cute little legendary creature with a gem in it's head, sometimes looking like a bunny. The animal is said to contain riches of some sort; in some versions it is a precious stone that gives fortune and good luck to its owner.

That baby bunkle is so adorable, I want to adopt it!
