Words that do nothing for the meaning of the sentence but make the sentence longer, thereby making the speaker sound smarter, or get to talk longer.

His sentences were long and wordy, filled more with word litter (like "clearly", "certainly", "again") than with real meaning.

The feeling one has when one does not understand an acronym used in a text or email, such as IMHO, or BTW, or LOL.
