A type of hipster who leans more towards the 'streets' than to 'art.'

Hipsters more in tune with Black America than other facets of hipsterdom.

John: Is Emily a hipster emo or a ghetto hipster?

Sara: Well she lives in the ghetto, works with black children all day long, and would rather smoke reefer than read or look at art.

John: Ya, I'd say she falls more into the ghetto hipster category.

Sara: Agreed. She's definitely a ghetto hipster.

hipster emo

1. Person who successfully blends the subcultures of hipster and emo. One who disregards labels and refuses to conform to one group or the other.

2. Slang term for members of society who try too hard to fit in

John: "Is that dude hipster or emo?"
Sara: "Seriously, who can even tell the difference?"
John: "Who cares, he's a hipster emo."
