Falling asleep at a desk or chair without trying to do so.
Person 1: Why weren't you answering me last night on MSN?!
Person 2: Oh sorry, I totally ended up pulling a Rae.
Getting sun burnt on only one side of a leg.
May be caused by falling asleep in the sun or just having poor skills in applying sunscreen. Pulling a Rae is usually associated with having fair skin or just being really white.
Person one: Oh my god! What happened to your leg?! It's only burnt on one side!
Person two: I fell asleep on the beach and ended up pulling a rae.
