Old folks from the country, generally in the south, use to say on nights where there was mist/fog over a swamp, pond, river or lake that the devil was raising hell under water. The saying "there is going to be smoke on the water tonight" came from that and means something is about to go down or someone is getting ready to raise hell. The saying predates the rock song by deep purples but I doubt they intended that meaning in their song. I believe their song is about a fire at a hotel.
If them MFs don't have my money theres gonna be some smoke on the water. I.e. I'm gonna raise hell.

Back when weed usually came in $10 dime bags a double bag was $20. When asking your favorite retailer for your weed if you preferred a larger quantity you would ask for a dub, dub bag or as in todayâs vernacular a good ol dub sac.

Slang term used for police. Originally came from the call sign of police car 4-Adam-12 on a TV show. Similarly to the term 5-0 came from the TV show Hawaii 5-0.
A term used to describe someone, usually someone younger, who thinks they know something but their understanding is very basic or wrong.
Example 1
Son- Being a doctor is easy. You donât need a degree just google whatâs wrong with them and write a prescription.
Father- Hold on there sports fan. Itâs a little bit more complicated than that.
Example 2
Friend 1 - Man,,, That old MF tryin to tell me how to box. He donât know shit switch his old ass.
Friend 2 - Ok sports fan,,,, you do know that old MF was Mike Tyson right?
