The practice of attempting to obtain empathy and attention from others by telling the world of one's disease(s) (real or not).

Bystander: Could I cut you in line, I'm in a rush?
Diseaseism Sufferer: Did you know I have cancer?
Bystander: Sir?.?.?.

Diseaseism Sufferer: Do NOT assume my gender. I have stage 47 male breast caner and have a week to live.
Bystander: I apologize--I just... I need to give you empathy.
Diseaseism Sufferer: (eyes beginning to tear up) Th-thank you...
